Dr. Majury is a full time practicing Clinical Microbiologist with Public Health Ontario. As such, the majority of her laboratory is dedicated to the diagnosis of infectious diseases, with some environmental microbiology services, and public health. Her research interests are focused in the area One Health, in the context of microbiology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, zoonotic diseases, and public health, with a special focus on animal, human and environmental (food and water) microbial interactions. Her main research goal is to provide the science and the tools to inform the practice of evidence based public health medicine. The research laboratory is primarily student focused, with both graduate and undergraduate students, who become integral and important members of the provincial public health community.
