Faculty BioThe focus of Dr. Elliott's research is the role of scatter factor/HGF autocrine loops, and cell adhesion-based signalling cascades in the development of invasive breast cancer. Our approaches involve mutational and structure/function analysis, as well as the development of ligand/receptor antagonists. Animal models are also being used to test specific inhibitors for possible therapeutic intervention in breast cancer metastasis. He co-ordinates the Flow Cytometry and Confocal Microscope Multi-user Facility at Queen's University.
