Faculty Bio
Dr. Philbrook has been an adjunct professor with DBMS since 2015, teaching primarily in the Life Sciences and Health Sciences programs. With an administrative and teaching focus, Dr. Philbrook is the Director of the Bachelor of Health Sciences undergraduate program and has developed and teaches two courses: PHAR 380 Toxicological Inquiry and REPD 473 Developmental Origins of Health and Disease. With a PhD in Developmental Toxicology, Dr. Philbrook has investigated the mechanisms of developmental toxicity of various chemicals, including the environmental pollutants benzene and triphenyl phosphate, and the anti-epileptic drug valproic acid in collaboration with Dr Winn. Current research is focused on educational research, evaluating the Bachelor of Health Sciences undergraduate program.
