Congratulations to Matthew Rätsep, PhD candidate of Drs. Adams and Croy

The 47th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Study of Reproduction was held in Grand Rapids Michigan July 19-23, 2014. Of the 575 abstracts submitted by the 800 delegates, six including one by Matthew Rätsep, a PhD candidate in the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, Queen’s University, were selected to receive a Lalor Foundation Travel Fellowship based on scientific merit, interpretation, impact of the results and clarity. Each author was invited to participate in the Trainee Research Platform Competition. Mr. Rätsup was awarded first place in the Platform competition by the international judging for his presentation “The role of Placental Growth Factor in regulating fetal brain vascular development. A cash award was presented by Dr. Jock Findlay from Melbourne Australia, the society president. Mr. Rätsep’s PhD program is co-supervised by Drs. Anne Croy and Michael Adams. Congratulations Matt!
