The Odyssey® DLx Infrared Imaging System gives accurate, reproducible quantitative Western blotting results with near-infrared fluorescence. It supports numerous applications, including Western blots, In-Cell Western™ Assays and other plate-based assays, cell-based assays, EMSA, DNA gel documentation, Coomassie gel imaging, protein arrays, tissue section and organ imaging. Scan area is 25 x 25 cm. This imager has a simple, intuitive interface. LI-COR Acquisition Software is an easy-to-use and walks the user through a streamlined process of image acquisition.
Tutorial for LI-COR: LI-COR Tutorial
- Strong and faint bands can be seen clearly in the same image, with great sensitivity and no image saturation.
- Membranes have the lowest background in the infrared region, which provides optimal signal-to-noise ratios.
- Over 6 logs/ Optical Density (OD) of dynamic range in a single acquisition compared to films 2 OD of linear range.
- Multiplex with two fluorescent colors to see even more data.
- Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence delivers consistent signals that aren’t affected by timing.
