The Chirascan Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectrometer can give insight into the secondary and tertiary structure of proteins, determine the effect of thermal or chemical changes, and help study protein folding and unfolding mechanisms. Used in this way, CD can identify interacting partners of proteins, guide drug testing and development, or simply help optimize protein storage buffer conditions to enhance protein longevity.
For more information on these features of CD, please consult the following resource:

The Chirascan has a temperature-controlled sample chamber for consistent analytical environment and flow cells for secondary (0.1 mm path length) and tertiary (10 mm path length) structure analysis with integrated thermocouples. It can accommodate up to 6 samples or 6 thermal denaturation datasets per run.
